SAM KELLY (The Wizard)
Sam Kelly trained for the theatre at LAMDA.
Sam’s recent theatre credits include: The Female of The Species (Vaudeville); Kean (Apollo); Aladdin with Ian McKellen (Old
Vic); A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, War and Peace, The Homecoming and Pericles (National Theatre); Under the Whaleback, Toast and Killers (Royal Court) and Terry Johnson’s Dead Funny (Savoy).
A very familiar television face, his numerous credits include: Black Books; Porridge; ‘Allo ‘Allo!; Boys from the Black Stuff; Bleak House; Martin Chuzzlewit and, most recently, Harvest (C4) and Magic Grandad (BBC).
Sam has also enjoyed working with The Two Ronnies, Dave Allen, Cilla Black, Victoria Wood and Les Dawson.
Films include: Grown Ups, All or Nothing and Topsy-Turvy directed by Mike Leigh; Honest directed by Dave Stewart; Getaway written by Alan Bleasdale and Blue Ice with Michael Caine.
Sam’s most recent radio work was the title role in the much-acclaimed
The Good Soldier Svejk, and he has the distinction of being one of the last presenters of Listen with Mother.
