MARC PLATT - Producer

Marc is represented on Broadway, in London, Melbourne, and throughout North America by WICKED. He also produced the Broadway debut of Richard Greenberg’s play Three Days of Rain, starring Julia Roberts, directed by Joe Mantello; and Matthew Bourne’s ballet Edward Scissorhands. Films: Wanted starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy, and Morgan Freeman; Legally Blonde; Legally Blonde 2; Honey; Josie and the Pussycats; The Perfect Man; The Seeker. Upcoming films: Rachel Getting Married, directed by Jonathan Demme, starring Anne Hathaway and Debra Winger; Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, directed by Edgar Wright, starring Michael Cera; and Nine directed by Rob Marshall. Television: HBO’s Empire Falls (Golden Globe Award); Once Upon A Mattress (ABC); The Path To 9/11 (ABC). Mr. Platt has served as president for three movie studios (Orion, TriStar and Universal) where he developed and guided the production of such films as Silence of the Lambs; Sleepless In Seattle; Philadelphia; As Good As It Gets; My Best Friend’s Wedding and Jerry Maguire.
