WICKED CONFIRMS CHARITY PREVIEW ON 19 SEPT 2006 TO BENEFIT THE ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION

The producers of WICKED are pleased to announce a special Gala Preview Performance to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation on Tuesday 19 September at 7.30pm. This will be the only charity preview of WICKED and represents the beginning of an ongoing relationship between WICKED and the Foundation.

This special evening will be hosted for the Foundation by the wonderfully wicked SHARON OSBOURNE and will be followed by an exclusive VIP post-show supper along with WICKED cast members at Bluebird Brasserie sponsored by Bluebird and Hildon Natural Mineral Water.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation is an international non-profit organisation funding direct patient care services that help to alleviate the physical, emotional and financial hardship for those living with HIV/AIDS as well as AIDS prevention education programmes. Elton John established the charity in the UK in 1993. Since then, the Foundation has funded over 400 projects in the UK as well as 4000 projects in 55 countries, raising over US $95 million to assist over 12 million people affected by HIV/AIDS.

WICKED, Broadway's smash-hit musical that tells the untold story of the legendary witches from L. Frank Baum's classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, will open at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre on Wednesday 27 September with previews from Thursday 7 September.
